Riverside, CA 92518Ronald Norman Worthen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 24th, 2024. He was surrounded by his wife Kathy, at his home. He was born in Lynwood, CA and spent his early years in his hometown of South Gate, CA. He bravely enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as a Boatswain's Mate until being honorably discharged in 1974. His time in the military would lay the foundation for a life full of passion, commitment, and dedication.
After his time in the US Navy, Ron settled in Garden Grove, CA where he started his family and his career. He followed his passion when starting his own business rebuilding high performance transmissions. As a specialist and technician, Ron's work was sought out by people all across the United States, as he was one of the only a handful of people with this expertise. In 1978, Ron married the love of his life, Kathy Boehm, in a ceremony that remains a cherished memory. Ron was the epitome of a devoted husband and father. He and Kathy showed a perfect example of loyalty and commitment to family. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joys of raising their three children, Jason, Scott and Sara.
Those who knew Ron, knew his love for cars, car shows, cats, movies, and old TV shows. Who can forget his quick wit and astounding memory for specific dates of all family, world and cultural events. Perhaps most importantly, Ron will always be remembered for his integrity. As his mother-in-law always said, "I would trust Ron with anything! Ronald Norman Worthen's story is one of love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but the love and friendship he displayed, will carry on for generations to come. Ron is survived by his wife Kathy, children Jason, Scott (Noelle), and Sara, grandson Luke and brother Jim (Judy)."*" indicates required fields
