Robert “Bob” Raymond Kolbach, 84, passed away peacefully at Placentia Linda Hospital. He is survived by his son, Michael Kolbach; daughter in law, Mandy Kolbach; and his two grandchildren, Chase and Sydney Kolbach. Bob grew up on a farm in Port Washington, WI where he attended high school and played football, basketball and baseball. He joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, was a brother and president of Tau Iota Epsilon fraternity and graduated with his master’s degree in engineering. This is where he met his soulmate and partner for life, Karen Gay Bierbrauer, and they married in Milwaukee, WI in 1964. They traveled the world for FM Global and he would work his way to the top of this company. Shortly after retiring from FM Global, he passed the CA real estate broker exam and became a top producing real estate agent for First Team in Tustin. He loved action movies, war documentaries, Notre Dame football, the Green Bay Packers and Anaheim Angels. The thing he loved most though was watching his son and grandkids play sports. He was an optimist, a fighter (battled cancer for 25+ years), funny in social settings, always well prepared and deeply loved his family. He will be missed dearly.
