Orange, CARobert “Bob” J. Kendzor, 91, formerly of Anaheim, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, in Orange, CA. Born in Sebastopol, PA, on Feb. 13, 1933, he was the 8th child of the late Andrew and Anna (Stelmach) Kendzior. He attended Jenkins Twp. schools until the 11th grade, and after moving to western PA with his family, graduated from Sharon High School in 1950. Mr. Kendzor served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Seaman 1st Class during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1953. After his military service, Bob attended Ohio State University and in 1959 went to work for North American Aviation as a Design Engineer. He moved to CA where he made his home for the last 60+ years and retired from Boeing in 2003, after a career in the aviation industry spanning 44 years. He was proud to have worked on the B-1B program and the space shuttle during his career. Bob loved sports of all kinds, especially football. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals. Mr. Kendzor was a lifelong member of St. Justin Martyr Church in Anaheim. His beloved wife of almost 50 years, the former Sylvia Saneski of Dupont, PA, preceded him in death in 2015. Bob’s brothers, Stanley, Walter, and Leonard; and his sisters, Stanislawa aka Frances, Marion, Stella Irene, and Helen, all preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter Karen (Andy) Restivo, and granddaughters, Ashleigh and Marisa Restivo, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends Janeth, Jesus, and Melannie Meza, and Sandy Guerrero, who have become like family to him.
