Marjorie Richard
Marjorie (Monnig) Richard was born on July 10, 1936 in Glasgow, MO. Her family moved to Anaheim when she was 8 years old. She attended St. Boniface elementary, Marywood High School, and Fullerton College. She married Paul Richard on May 16, 1959 and she lovingly raised and is survived by her 7 children, Denise (Pete), Karen (Chris), John (Barb), Joyce (Mark), Tom (Kris), Gary (Serap) and Joe (Jamie). She was also a proud Grandma of 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother. When her youngest child started school she worked part time at Katella High School as a teacher’s aid and retired shortly after her husband. They loved to travel in their motor home on short local trips and also cross-country to visit family. She became a widow in Sept. 2005 and continued to travel to spend time with her children out of state. Marjorie was a parishioner at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church in Anaheim for over 60 years. She became very active in her later years and was a Eucharistic Minister, attended Bible Study for 20 years and the current treasurer for the Women’s Council. She bravely accepted her sudden illness and passed away on Feb. 25, 2021 with her family by her side. We miss her tremendously but also feel a sense of peace knowing that she is reunited with our father, the love of her life.
