    Maria Rosa Barajas de Martinez, born on January 1, 1927, in Yurecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico, was a woman of extraordinary strength, resilience, and love. Her life was a testament to the power of family, hard work, and perseverance. Growing up, Maria Rosa was surrounded by a loving family. Her parents, Ignacio Barajas and Antonia Perez, raised her alongside her two stepbrothers, Antonio and Ignacio, and her four sisters, Carmen, Lucita, Leonor, and Maria. Her brother, Antonio (Tonito), was also a cherished member of her family. At the tender age of 15, Maria Rosa married Esteban Martinez Rodriguez, the love of her life. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming nine children into their lives: Abigail, Raquel, Ignacio, Adolfo, Consuelo, Jaime, Maria Sanjuana, Martin, and Teresa. Their family grew even larger over the years, with Maria Rosa becoming a beloved grandmother to 44 grandchildren, a great-grandmother to 98 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to 46 great-great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Maria Rosa was a tireless worker. She embraced various roles and responsibilities, from homemaker to caregiver. Her hobbies were many, including singing, dancing, gardening, cooking, embroidering, crocheting, drawing, painting, designing, and sewing her own clothes. Maria Rosa's legacy extends far beyond her family. She was a true warrior, a woman who faced life's challenges with unwavering determination. Her love, care, and resilience continue to inspire and guide her family members. As the last surviving Barajas sibling, Maria Rosa's passing marks the end of an era. However, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her strength, love, and resilience will be cherished by generations to come. She is rejoicing in Heaven with her loved ones in Our Lord’s Love and Grace.
