Orange, CaliforniaMy Mom Lucy Gonzales was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great Grandmother. She was born November 26th 1935, in Placentia CA, to parents Jesus and Lupe Perez. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe P. Gonzales, Son Robert and daughter Virginia. She is survived by her son Joe A. Gonzales and daughter in-law Billie Jean Gonzales; granddaughter Salina Kroesen, grandsons Robert Swatek, Eric Garcia, Adrian Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales; great-granddaughter Jalaena Kroesen; great-grandsons Steven Kroesen and Eric Garcia Jr., and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Annie Chavez, Vera Perez, Rose Marie Pinheiro and brothers Sammy Perez and Frankie Perez. My mom Lucy, was a very kind loving person who always gave the benefit of a doubt and saw the good in all. She was modest and was always there for whom ever needed her. She loved sewing, needlepoint, crocheting. She really loved “playing” in her garden. She would never say no to a shopping day with her daughter and a hamburger. She loved her children and grandchildren so much and was very proud of the adults that they have become. My mom Lucy was a Christian; she would attend bible study on Wednesdays and worshipped every Sunday. I have never heard her use foul language even though we gave her many reasons to. For a short time, my Mom lived on Edwards Airforce base where my Father was stationed. Once my father completed his duty in the USAF they moved back to Placentia, CA, where they were raised. My mom raised the three of us and sometimes worked at a bakery with her sister Vera. She lived in Placentia for over 80 years. My Mom was diagnosed with dementia around four years ago and succumbed to the disease on July 16, 2023. She will forever be missed by all hearts she touched, especially by her family who learned from her unconditional love.
