Loving daughter, devoted Christian, and faithful friend, Lu Ann is now a resident of Heaven, where she entered and was welcomed with love and joy, freed from the illnesses she had suffered in the last three years of her life. Surely the words every Christian looks forward to hearing blessed Lu Ann in the early hours of October 11 when the Lord ushered her Home: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Lu Ann was born in Oakland, California, and at age 3 moved with her parents to Anaheim and lived there the rest of her life. Through her school chorales and choir groups, she enjoyed many exciting performances and choral competitions throughout California and as a result, after graduation she vacationed as often as possible in the Central Coast, usually inviting a few friends along. Lu Ann’s entire working career was solely in ministries that supported missionaries and communicated biblical truth and its application. As happens in life, some of her lifelong friends would move away, and Lu Ann had new vistas to enjoy as she traveled to nearly every state in America to visit those beloved friends. She was an encouraging, supportive, and fun friend to all of us. We love and sorely miss our dear friend but rejoice as well because of the blessed assurance that we’ll reunite in Eternity and live all together, with our Savior, someday. Hebrews 12:1-2: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with endurance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
