Orange, CaliforniaLadislao Jacome was born in Guatemala City, Central America, to parents Ladislao Jacome Sagastume and Mariana Franco de Paz. From a young age, he had a passion for sports and played soccer, finding joy in the rhythm of life through dance, especially to the vibrant sounds of marimba music. At 23, Ladislao married the love of his life, Hortensia, in November 1953. His dedication and hard work led him to a fulfilling career in the Guatemalan government for over 30 years. In 1968, he made the brave decision to move to the United States, bringing his daughter Patricia with him to reunite with Hortensia in San Francisco, California. In 2023, Ladislao and Hortensia celebrated an incredible milestone: 70 years of marriage. Their love has been a testament to the beauty of commitment and family. Ladislao is survived by his devoted wife, Hortensia; his two daughters, Patricia and Elizabeth; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the legacy of love, laughter, and resilience he instilled in them. His spirit will forever live on in their hearts, a shining example of a life well-lived and a love that knows no bounds.
