KAROL "KELLY" SUE RASHID died on August 30, 2023 in Palm Desert, California, due to complications following a long illness. She was 84 years old. Kelly was born KELLY SUE STONEWALL on May 9, 1939 in Princeton, Illinois to her parents John and Josephine (Richardson) Stonewall. She graduated Wethersfield High School in 1957 and completed business courses at BHE. She worked at the E.A. Johnson Agency, Wethersfield High School, GTE (Verizon) for 30 years and the Henry County Senior Citizen Agency for nine years as a Medicare Outreach worker. Kelly was a patient and compassionate friend to many people. Her hobbies were golfing, reading, computing and music. She was on the class reunion committee nine times. She is survived by her son Timothy Jon Lazoen of Danvers, Illinois, her grandson Mike Lazoen of Lowell, Indiana, great granddaughters Camryn Noel Lazoen, Brailyn Jade Lazoen and Jemma Lazoen, her brother William "Bill" Donaldson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her dear friend, Janice Godke of Idyllwild and Indio, California. Mr. Rashid will be cremated and her ashes will be spread at her home in Idyllwild, California. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Abilities Plus in Kewanee, Illinois or the charity of your choice.
