    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine Mehu, on April 2, 2025, at the age of 54 years. Geraldine was born on April 28,1970 in the Republic of Congo, to Antoine and Micheline Mehu. She was known for strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family and community.

    Geraldine loved giving and often sat on boards for schools and charities. She was a motivational speaker for youth groups and a mentor for young women. She helped create scholarships for business students at Seton Hall and was an active member of her local catholic church. She found joy in helping others, but the source of her greatest happiness is her daughter Gabrielle.

    Geraldine graduated with her master’s degree from Seton Hall University and graduate certificates from Cornell University and The Wharton School. She started her professional career in politics & public service as the Deputy Press Secretary to the former Governor of NJ. Later she worked as a senior executive for financial services companies.

    Geraldine was predeceased by her father Antoine Mehu. She is survived by her daughter Gabrielle Moore, mother Micheline Mehu, brother Karl and his wife Diane Mehu, sister Renee Mehu, nephews Karl-Anthony Mehu and Alex Mehu, and nieces Korrine Mehu, and Julianna Mehu.

    The vigil and rosary will be held at Hilgenfeld Mortuary, on April 23, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held at Christ Cathedral, on April 24, 2025, at 10 am.
