Stanton, CaliforniaGabriela Ceja was born on August 27th, 1987 in Fountain Valley, California. She was a Behavioral Intervention Assistant at Barton Elementary in Anaheim, California and loved her involvement in the education and development of the young minds she helped. Gaby held a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Dominguez Hills in Liberal Arts with a focus on Math; she hoped to obtain her teaching credential and be able to teach at the elementary school level one day. Gaby's personality and character shined in everything she did. She was a proud latina and loved her Mexican culture enjoying our traditions and many family get togethers. She had a sarcastic and spontaneous sense of humor that kept that would catch us off guard and always made us laugh. Gaby was thoughtful and creative; she consistently expressed herself through her crafts and love of color. From her many unique hair color choices to her love of varying lipstick and eye shadow shades, she was truly a beautiful person inside and out. Gaby was a strong and ambitious woman with various business endeavors. Her love of baking led her into making meticulous and detailed, delicious cakes and cupcakes for various events. She lately focused her creativity in her shop, sewing many types of hair accessories, designing jewelry and other accessories while taking her love of Disney and Halloween one step further. She loved creating and meeting other crafters at the many events she attended throughout Southern California with her younger sister Claudia. We have lost a daughter, a sister, a mother, a role model, an aunt, an educator, a friend... she leaves an abundance of memories with us but also a great void in our hearts. Gabriela is survived by her parents José and Elena Ceja, her siblings Sofia, Jose Daniel, Antonio, and Claudia and her step daughter Selena Hornback. She passed away suddenly in her home in Stanton, California; She was 36 years old.
