Ernest Diaz

Birth: June 8, 1931 | Died: February 9, 2022

Ernest Diaz was born on June 8, 1931, in Anaheim, California. He attended Anaheim High School, where he played football and met the love of his life, Dolores Diaz. In the early 50’s, Ernest was drafted into the Army, and later joined the US Air Force. Once he returned home, they built their dream home off South Street in the early 60’s, and never left Anaheim.  They were blessed with daughter Michelle who was the light of their lives. Ernie was a hardworking man. He worked for Kwikset, the US Postmaster and for many construction companies.  He retired in 1996 to spend time with wife, grandchildren, and to work on his impeccable backyard. In 2018, he was recognized by the Anaheim City Council for his selfless work to make Anaheim a better place for all residents. He is described by family and friends as the most kind, loving, classy, and generous individuals you could ever meet. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is proceeded in death by his wife Dolores (60 years of marriage), his daughter Michelle Mayorga, son-in-law Frank Mayorga, grandchildren: Christian Cruz, Kristen Mayorga and Emily Cruz, as well as several nieces and nephews.
