Orange, CaliforniaOur Angel on earth is now an Angel in Heaven. Dorothy was born in Anaheim, California to loving parents Frank and Evelyn Mejia. She was the eldest of five children. Anaheim was her home her entire life. Dorothy was married and became a single Mom early on and raised her five children devoted to creating a loving family lifestyle including memorable family adventures from the beaches of Baja Mexico to the snow-capped mountains of California. Dorothy was remarried in 1978 to Joe Jordan who preceded her in passing. Early on Dorothy worked at Disneyland at the Tahitian Terrace. Dorothy also enjoyed a successful thirty-year career as a Marketing Research Associate with Hunt Wesson Foods. She was an active volunteer with United Way and Casa for Kids, for which she served as President. Upon retirement she continued to volunteer joining her friends supporting Southwest Community Center and St. Vincent De Paul. Dorothy was an alum of Anaheim High School graduating class of 1950. She was also an active member of her class reunion planning committee. Dorothy is survived by her sister Francesca Ransom (Cliff,) her children, Cathleen George (Dan,) Evelyn Jensen (Bill,) Ruth Hartman (Greg,) Mary Lustig, Raymond Hernandez, a stepson Joe Jordan (Jayne,) along with 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Mejia, her sisters Anita Rivera and Maura Mariscal, and brother Frank Mejia. Dorothy was very devoted to her prayers, her rosary, her Church, and her faith in God to keep her family and friends safe. Funeral services will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim, 10 AM on April 21 with a reception to follow at the Parish Hall after cemetery services at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, California.
