It is with heavy hearts we announce that Joyce Marie Ramstack, a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and cherished friend passed away at the age of 96 at home surrounded by her family on Friday January 17th. Joyce is survived by Mike Ramstack, Mary Monahan (Frank Monahan), Colleen Stock (Terry), Maureen Ramstack, Kelly Sklarsky (Kevin Sklarsky), James Ramstack, and Mark Ramstack (Courtney Ramstack), sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Pat, son Tom (Linda), parents Severe and Mame (Joyce Savageau) and six brothers and sisters. Joyce was born October 30th, 1928, in De Pere, Wisconsin. Her widowed mother raised a large family during the difficult years of the depression. Joyce always spoke so tenderly and fondly about her love and appreciation of her mother. In high school, Joyce was known for her lovely voice, winning a school competition and selected to sing at the commencement ceremony. Joyce met the love of her life, Pat Ramstack, while he was attending St. Norbert’s college, and the two married September 13th, 1952, at the Shrine of St. Joseph. They loved and adored each other for over 70 years. Joyce was a beacon of joy, consistently placing others before herself. Her laughter was infectious, and she had an uncanny ability to find the silver lining in every situation. Elegance was second nature to Joyce. She carried herself with timeless grace, always ensuring her nails were impeccably manicured and had coordinated earrings to match her outfit. Her memory was nothing short of extraordinary. A lover of words, she found great pleasure in crossword puzzles, reading and in her later years when her sight was challenged listening to books. One of the most beautiful aspects of Joyce’s life was her love and relationship with her beloved husband, Pat. Their bond was one of deep respect, unwavering support, and a genuine love story that inspires us all. Their partnership was a shining example of what it means to share a life rooted in love, faith, and commitment. Losing Pat was her heaviest burden, but even in that sorrow, she carried his memory with grace and strength. Joyce’s heart and passion extended far and wide, but she held a special place in her soul for supporting the unborn. Her voice was unwavering in advocating for the most vulnerable, and her faith guided her dedication to their protection. It was a cause she supported with love, strength, and compassion. Her enthusiasm for Christmas and birthdays was unmatched, and her heartfelt phone calls filled with her singing “Happy Birthday” brought joy to so many. Joyce made every person she celebrated with feel profoundly loved and special. Her faith was her foundation, and it shone brightly in her deep devotion to Mass and praying the rosary daily. She had a rare and remarkable gift for words, always knowing how to uplift and comfort those around her. With a caring heart and a deep, abiding ability to listen, Joyce constantly thought of others, putting their needs and feelings first. In remembering Joyce, we celebrate a life lived with grace, love, and a steadfast commitment to bringing joy to others. Her strength, her faith, her love for her family, and her passion for what she believed in will continue to inspire all of us who were blessed enough to know her. Rest in peace, Joyce. You leave behind a legacy of faith, love, and a shining example of how to live a life full of compassion and joy.
