Evelyn Ann Bevins

Evelyn Ann Bevins passed away peacefully in her Fullerton home June 6th, 2023, with loving family members by her side.

Evelyn’s parents, Hubert and Evelyn, moved her and the family to Anaheim California from Van Horn Iowa in 1937. She attended Anaheim’s St. Boniface grammar school, and afterwards Marywood High School. She later received both her bachelor’s and teaching degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Evelyn went on to teach in the Anaheim Union School District for the next thirty-five years, earning teacher of the year awards multiple times. Her great love was to travel throughout Hawaii and Europe, the highlights of which were a trip to Lourdes and a personal audience with the Pope.

She was very active in the Catholic Alumni Club and had a very strong bond of faith inside the Catholic Church. She attended and supported St. Boniface Catholic Church on a regular basis.

Evelyn was beloved by all who knew her and had especially close ties with her family: Predeceased by her were her parents Hubert and Evelyn Bevins, her brothers Thomas and Eugene, and her sister Katharine. She is survived by her brothers, Ronald and Daniel, along with her beloved twenty nieces and nephews.
