Today is World Kindness Day
We can’t think of a day that sends a better message. Kindness is defined as “the quality of being friendly, generous and courteous. Wow, what a great concept, kindness!
Some people say that being kind can be seen as a sign of weakness, letting others take advantage of acts of generosity or friendliness. Actually, being kind often requires a great deal of strength in times of adversity or with others who challenge you or your beliefs.
Setting aside a day to acknowledge kindness is a great way to encourage a wave of goodwill across the globe. Maybe today is the day to embrace the saying “Try Random Acts of Kindness.”
A “Random Act of Kindness”, according to Wikipedia, is a “non-premeditated, inconsistent action designed for kindness toward the outside world.” Translated it means – surprise someone by doing something kind. Easy enough. It can be a family member, a friend or even a stranger to whom you direct your kindness. You may find that your random act of kindness will multiply many times over.
Give it a try and see how you feel. Most likely you’ll end up having quite a time celebrating 2022’s World Kindness Day.
Here are a few collected words of wisdom on kindness that we’d like to share.
